The automotive gurus at Scion are known for more than making some of the edgiest vehicles on the road today. The Japanese automaker is also big in the underground music scene through its audio visual division, Scion A/V. The team releases music videos for up and coming artists, features galleries from aspiring photographers, and helps make documentaries with talented filmmakers. The initiative is nothing short of impressive, and everyone at Vanderstyne Scion absolutely loves it!
The latest endeavor of the youth-oriented automaker's A/V department is a new documentary film series that's being produced with artist Prince Paul. It explores a wide range of musical genres that are gaining popularity across the country, and it premiered on November 21st, 2011.
The first episode introduces Paul and his two cohorts, Dead and Soce, who check out the DJ and dance music scene in New York City. From there, the series begins making its way across the country, placing the trio in unfamiliar territory. For instance, the second episode follows Paul as he heads to the Scion A/V "Garage Fest" in Kansas. Once there, he checks out performances by and interviews Best Coast, The Spits, and Human Eye.
There are currently set to be six episodes in this new miniseries, though we wouldn't rule out there being more if it turns out to be a success. On that note, Vanderstyne Scion, located at 4374 Ridge Road West, Rochester, NY, highly recommends checking the series out at http://www.scionav.com/.
